ABOUT
Welcome to our dog friendly holiday cottage on Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
Britannia Cottage is situated right in the centre of Holy Island and dates back to the early 1800's.
It provides a great base for exploring the heritage of Lindisfarne and the surrounding Northumberland coastline
with its wonderful unspoilt beaches, walks, castles and wildlife.
Enjoy a crab sandwich at one of the Island’s Inns, watch the sunset over the causeway, or listen to the seals singing!
The cottage has free high speed fibre wifi, a cosy log fire, is spacious, comfortable and offers a real home from home.
Open all year round with short breaks now available all year for 2025.

OUR ROOMS
Britannia Cottage has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 people.

A cosy cottage living room with an open fire.

The main bedroom has a King size bed and is en-suite.

Twin bedroom with a sunny southerly aspect. Can be arranged as a SuperKing.

Main bathroom with a bath and electric shower.

Fully equipped kitchen.

The small enclosed courtyard is a real sun trap.

There is a Freeview TV
with an Amazon Fire Stick,
so you can login to your account.

There is an open fire
in the living room.
A basket of logs is supplied
(in winter)
COURTYARD
There is a small enclosed
courtyard out the back.
A sun trap to relax in.

Holy Island is a great base from which to start exploring the Northumberland coastline and beyond.

The Islands very own castle, perched on top of the crags keeping watch over the sea.

Quiet beaches, plenty of places to explore and peaceful walks.

There are lots of places just a short walk form the cottage, to enjoy a good meal out.

The ever changing light and beautiful landscape of Holy Island.

There are a number of fine Inns on the Island, to relax with a glass or two!

Why not hire some bikes to explore the area and enjoy the fresh sea air.

The majestic Bamburgh Castle, set on the beach.

Take a walk through history along the Roman Wall, or visit one of the many visitor centres.

The award winning Alnwick Gardens and Alnwick Castle, home of Harry Potter.
